It AMAZES me how offshore drilling is still even an option after the devastating OIL SPILL IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. However, everyone does not feel the same obviously. The risks of blow-outs are even higher in the Arctic than it is in the Gulf. There's going to be oil EVERYWHERE if we do not do something now!

OBAMA GETS TERRIBLE GRADE FOR OIL SPILL RESPONSE
I love Obama as much as the next person however, Americans in a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll give him failing grades on his response to the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill. Apparently 53% of people surveyed gives the Obama Administration a "poor job" a poor rating with their response to the oil spill.Obama's Response
So Far ..
1) Obama has sent 3 top officials to the Gulf of Mexico to monitor the oil spill.
2) Obama is delaying new offshore drilling for now. 3) He's visited Louisianna where the oil spill is headed to.
Consequences and repercussionsneed to be placed upon BP!

There is no end in site for the oil spill which has been spewing oil for almost 40 days non stop in the Gulf of Mexico. Dont sit around while oil tycoon's destroy our waters and beaches. WE CAN TAKE ACTION NOW!

This BP hole in the ocean floor may cause the complete devastation of the entire Gulf Coast along shores of the US, Mexico and Central America, and if the volcano of oil is not stopped at some point, even the Caribean islands and the US East coast will be effected when the Gulf Stream carries the oil out of the Gulf.

DAWN SAVES THE TREE'S
While searching youtube for old shows, we stumbled upon Babysitter's Club originated in 1986. I was a tad bit too young to catch the episodes so I dont quit remember what the show was like. I believe I read the book series though. Anyway, I immediately clicked on the episode titled, Dawn Saves the Trees--with Zach Braff and became OD excited! *nerd face*

What sparked my interest while reading the menu was the fact that they are extremely environmentally friendly. If you remember, I did a post about the clubbing of seals as a sport in Canada. Well, they are strongly against it and also mentions it in their menu! AMAZING It basically made me super happy. They even have a mini library! (You know i'm a dork. its ok!)
All of their food is environmentally friendly AND vegan friendly. If you're ever in the DC area, CHECK THEM OUT!

I knew I loved this store for a reason.
Not only do they have amazing clothes but they are also environmetally friendly! American Apparel recycles over 1 million pounds of cotton a year. This is an alternative to dumping over 30,000 pounds of cotton cuttings a week into the landfills.
American Apparel also (obviously) is United States based meaning that all of the clothes are made in American. Thats right. No sweat shops! Another reason why American Apparel is so great.

METAL makes up 8% of US waste but we only recycle about 35% of the metal use a year. Architects are designing entires homes from used air plane metals. Check out this mail box. Pretty tight right?
PAPER OR CARDBOARD accounts for almost a third of our waste and we dont even recycle half of it. You can recylce every kind of paper! Even the glossy magazines. Or you can make some dope artwork.
