AMERICAN APPAREL RECYCLES

I knew I loved this store for a reason.
Not only do they have amazing clothes but they are also environmetally friendly! American Apparel recycles over 1 million pounds of cotton a year. This is an alternative to dumping over 30,000 pounds of cotton cuttings a week into the landfills.

American Apparel also (obviously) is United States based meaning that all of the clothes are made in American. Thats right. No sweat shops! Another reason why American Apparel is so great.

A few words from Senior Partner Dov Charney,
"At American Apparel we are trying our best to promote our worker's rights. Now we are also making a genuine effort to manufacture our product on a more environmentally friendly basis. But we are only at the beginning stages,"

"It always bothered me to see all the scraps being thrown away. Actually the reason we started a panty line was to use all our excess scraps, but now we have a total solution for the stuff we just cannot use"
